Darchy, also known as the DiddyMan, came to live in Wiltshire at eight weeks old and just slotted in with our two other dogs and one cat. Nothing ever fazes him and as a puppy he was a very easy going, chilled out boy who took everything in his stride. He has grown into a real gentlemen and greets everyone like a long, lost friend, wagging his whole body from the tip of his nose to his tail. He started his show career with a bang when going best of breed at his very first show on his six month birthday, beating a champion at the same time. He was handled by me [I was also competing at my very first show] and was crowned best puppy in breed at the British Manchester Terrier Club Champion Show. Darchy is such a confident little man that he will go in the ring with anyone. He won a young handlers class after only being handled in a quick practise before the class and he once went BOB with a complete stranger on his lead as I was handling his sister. Darchy has recently been made up to Champion and at the time of writing, is the only Manchester Terrier to have qualified for the Kennel Gazette Junior Warrant competition. He is also passing on his super temperament to his puppies.
